I had a Teams interview the other day and my phone died due to heat during the portion when I could ask the interview panel questions. I emailed them thanking them for their time and apologizing about my phone. I had some questions and one of the panel members was nice enough to answer my questions. Is that a good sign? Or does it depend on many factors?

I would certainly say that's a good sign! Sometimes tech issues are unpredictable and entirely out of our hands. You did a great job following up immediately to explain what happened and ask the panel some questions (to which they responded!). I don't think anyone will dock points for you in this regard. Cheers!

Being ready for an interview is your responsibility and making sure you're in a space to be able to have that is super important and taking into technology. IN saying that, I've hired a leader when they didn't get a chance to show the panel what they created for their demonstration due to the length of time of the interview and was asked to just email it. All other candidates were able to share. I'm confident that the candidate who didn't get to share immediately thought not gonna move to the next step in the interview process. They were hired.
