Hi,

I need an opinion. I had a one-sided video interview last week. Do I email the HR rep that set it up to ask if there is an update to my status? It's so hard when there isn't another person on the other side of the interview, no one to send a thank you email to (I did thank the HR rep for the opportunity when I confirmed that I submitted the interview).

Den weiteren Ablauf würde ich nicht dem Zufall überlassen wie einen Einsatz bei casino gamblezen, sondern konkret nach dem nächsten Schritt und einem ungefähren Zeitplan fragen. Bezieh dich einfach auf deine eingereichte Videoantwort; ein zweites ausführliches Dankeschön braucht es nicht. Stand in der Einladung schon etwas dazu, wann du mit einer Rückmeldung rechnen kannst?

    Yes, I would email the HR rep — a short follow-up after about a week is completely normal, not pushy. They're the right contact here, and it's their job to keep candidates updated. Keep it brief: thank them again, mention the role and when you completed the one-sided interview, and ask if there's a timeline for next steps. One-sided interviews do feel strange, because you don't get the usual back-and-forth or a person to thank directly, but a simple, polite check-in shows interest and keeps you on their radar.
