The job market is trash. Employers are making it harder than it needs to be trying to get a job.

Kindly send a connection request to me, let's tryout something.

This is very true. I also think there is 1 position and potentially thousands of candidates. Many HR / recruiters are just scanning quick looking for something specific but no one knows what that is.

I think the amount of scams trying to find a job are really just making it a disappointing task to accomplish. The normal job boards are all full of things that aren't real - if you go directly through the companies you seek sometimes that same job isn't even still available there. It's seriously challenging - I have never had a harder time finding a job then I have this year.

You're absolutely correct! The scams are terrible! I put my Open To Work banner on LinkedIn and within an hour I had 6 people reach out that they can help me. I forwarded my resume as requested and they said I didn't meet the guidelines for the new scanning program. But I was in luck! They had an in to a resume writer that could help! Go to the link they shared and the person had just setup their page 2 days prior and would cost me $150 to review my horrible resume. SCAM!

It’s been very difficult. A lot of the jobs are already filled with someone internal. They are just posting to follow labor laws. I sometimes go and look on linkedin to see who they hired and so far its been a lot of internal hires.

While I'm fortunate to hold a FT job (I've been here over 22 years!), recent situations require me to obtain a second one.

My greatest frustration is the lack of any response. No acknowledgement my application has been received, no notice I wasn't chosen. I know not all companies have the ability to respond to all of the applicants. But I've submitted over 100 applications now and only heard back from about 20 companies.

    Hi Jazzlyn,

I have 3 years of customer service operations experience. After COVID, I upskilled myself in Salesforce, earned certifications, applying my skills to 3 non-profit organisations currently.

I have a master's degree and am actively applying for non-technical Salesforce roles. I am a good collaborative team player, good at communication, resourceful, curious mindset for problem solving, a learner's mindset and a passion for project management.

I have been applying for entry-level and medium-level positions. But I failed to receive any interview call, only rejections. Anyone open to having a conversation?

The past 3 months have been a major struggle for me. The company I worked for, doing exactly my dream job, decided to eliminate my position. I was a Regional IT Manager and all sites in North America & Canada reported to me. As you can imagine my days (and nights & weekends) were very full since for the past year we down more than 50% of my team. I am struggling. I was working 70+ hours a week to try to stay on top of everything down to no job it's been a huge blow to my otherwise very structured life.

I have been sending at least 75-100 applications a week and not hearing anything back. Keeping in mind all resumes and cover letters are customized specific for the job posting, sometimes using exact wording.

I have 5 recruiters looking to find something for me.

I have opened up from permanent to contract, any shift, any days, lower level position (I get back I'm overqualified), higher level (not enough skills), onsite or remote or hybrid. I've even applied to Walmart and they won't even reach out for stocking shelves! LOL

I've paid to have my resume rewritten (by two different professional resume writers), submitted through AI and had many others review my resume and I get very impressive I wouldn't change a thing.

I'm taking additional courses to increase my skills.

I've had a few HR peeps reach out for screening interviews. Great conversations and they say I'm a perfect fit. Then crickets.

Anyone know of any open positions in IT or suggestions of what else I can do?

Thank you & Good Luck to everyone!!! We've got this! I know when one door closes a better one opens... it's time it opened! LOL Have a great day & thanks for reading !
