I’m having a hard time at work and it’s affecting my life both emotionally and mentally. I work with a small team and they are all part of the society and I’m the one out. My manager is mean to me in front of my coworkers so therefore they all look down upon me. I get bossed, disrespected and taken advantage of by all of them. I’m at my wits end. I’m so sad and depressed.

I am so sorry to hear that! I don't think that is an acceptable work environment. It's objectively unprofessional.

I have dealt with a similar environment, to what i can only imagine was to a much lesser extent, and I thought quitting would have been 100% perfectly acceptable. And now I am much happier that I have left. I feel it is not just at the cost of your current mental health, but I worry that being in that environment longer term can make one think that they are somehow deserving of it. There is no scenario in which their behavior is justified.

Thank you for your reply. Few years ago, I spoke to my manager about my career development (as directed by the company wide effort) and he heard it and literally scoffed at me and laughed and never talk to me about it again.

this is just one instance of what has been happening over the years

If you are considering harm to yourself, contact a crisis line or your company's EAP (if it has one) first to talk things through. No job is worth this treatment. You must care for yourself first. If you have any time off (PTO) accrued, a short break (even a "staycation") could help in the meantime. Then, do what you can to get the h--- out of there, like the rest of those replying are saying.

What you’re dealing with at work sounds really draining. Being disrespected daily messes with your mental health. You’re not weak for feeling this way. Finding something outside work that gives you control helps. For me, structured online play on https://bc-games.com.in/ , a legit casino and betting platform with crypto support and a 120% bonus up to ₹43,000 plus 100 free spins, helped me decompress after bad days. It’s not escape, it’s a reset.
