I am a mother of a 1.5-year-old girl with nearly 9 years of diverse experience in accounts payable, travel and expenses audit, client management, training, and the preparation of standard operating procedures. I also have experience in team handling.

Despite my extensive background, I am struggling to find a job post-delivery. I have even tried starting from scratch, but my career gap following maternity leave in India has made it difficult to secure a position.

I am seeking advice on how to find a job anywhere in the world. I am open to exploring new fields and have a strong track record, with recommendations from my previous employers available upon request. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated

Look at FlexJobs for remote work

This will be a long but hopefully helpful response:

RemoteOK https://remoteok.com/: Free, focuses on remote-first companies, filter by the “Non-tech” category.

Working Nomads https://www.workingnomads.com/jobs: Caters to remote workers and digital nomads.

Skip the Drive https://www.skipthedrive.com: Remote-focused job board with categories like “Bilingual.”

Jobspresso https://jobspresso.co/remote-work/: Offers a variety of remote positions.

Built In https://builtin.com/ - search for remote roles with your keywords but don't apply through Built In, Google search the company and job title and apply through the company site or their ATS.

I specialize in helping people find non-tech roles at tech companies and based on what you said your background is, you can potentially explore these roles:

Accounts Payable Specialist/Analyst: Directly related to your background, this role involves managing company expenditures, processing invoices, and ensuring timely payments.

Expense Analyst: Auditing travel and expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Financial Analyst: Leverages your understanding of financial processes to analyze financial data and assist in budgeting and forecasting.

Customer Success Manager: Uses your client management skills to ensure customers are satisfied with the company's products or services and help them achieve their goals.

Account Manager: Maintains relationships with key clients, addresses their needs, and ensures they get the most value from the company's offerings.

Client Services Specialist: Acts as a liaison between the company and its clients, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and providing training or support as needed.

Remember to tailor your resume and application to the role to showcase your transferable skills.

As a fellow Mom, I wish you all the best!
