Thoughts on career coaching? I need some direction please.
I graduated from a California State University with a Liberal Studies degree 3 years ago. I minored in Human Resources. I tried substitute teaching and love the students, but I do not think this is the career for me. I am not interested in asking family to mentor me.
I want a career in business, but I am very limited in knowledge about Graduate School. Also, I do not have business experience. I still need to pay bills so I do not think volunteering would help unless it was on the weekends when I do not work. I need assistance to be pointed in the right direction.
In addition, I am looking for a mentor or someone to really help me get a better career and consequently, better my living situation. I am open to different careers, I would just appreciate guidance so I can earn a livable wage to get my own house.
Lastly, I am not afraid to ask for help. I understand that some will try and comment: "loving what you do is more important than making money," but I will love whatever career I do, because I am interested in many subjects and love learning. This post is not to point out my flaws, it is to admit that I need help and would appreciate some recommendations from my fellow women to point me in the right direction regarding important decisions in my life. Thank you for reading my post.
