Hi everyone,

Hi everyone,

I graduated in 2023 and was hired by a service-based company, but they haven't onboarded me yet. During this time, I have been actively upskilling and searching for other job opportunities, but haven't had any success. After multiple rejections, I'm on the verge of depression. Can anyone guide me on the right way to land a job?

I worked a waitressing & bartending job well into my 30s. And I picked up waitressing short term during a period of unemployment in my mid-40s. It kept my mind busy, it was a great social connection and it actually led to some great networking. I’m saying this as someone with an MBA.

Please don’t discount a part time or temporary job to bridge the gap as you get established in your professional life. This isn’t beneath you or an indicator of self worth. I sense it could really pick up your mood, too.

    Best wishes to you.

Was it a college or trade school where you graduated? These often have a career center that helps you land your first job and other resources for help with interview skills and resume building. It is in its best interest to ensure that its graduates land good jobs quickly, as this speaks well for its program(s).
