Depending on situation. Layoffs or something more specific?

When a co-worker or manager asked you about your work/question your performance.i get very confused and anxiety thinking I’m questioning to maybe get terminated.

Not sure I understand exactly what you are saying, but when I have experienced questioning by managers or co-workers, it is usually because they need to understand my work product. This is usually because their manager wants them to consolidate reports such as mine and give a more comprehensive view. In other words, I have done what I needed to do, but they need to understand what I gave them in order to complete their assignment.

Sometimes, too, if the results you gave them are unexpected, they need to explain to their manager why these results occurred.

Neither of these instances will lead to you being terminated. My advice would be to find out what it is that they are not understanding and why they are asking, then to address those concerns.

Very helpful ..,And thanks.I’m currently unemployed now in why because I wanted to take some time out to figure out what it is I do want to do I don’t want to keep job hopping and walking out on jobs I just want to figure out what is my passion.. I have done a lot of jobs but always leave due to insecurity I guess! I don’t like drama or confrontation on any job.. I would like to know why the first couple of days when you get a job being new to the company things turn out not good at least that’s what I be thinking and feeling in that makes me walk out the door because I start to see red flags within the job.either with a manager/co-worker…

You might want to take a survey or two to see what your strong points are. Two that would help and are free (or very low cost if your want to dig deeply) are by Ken Coleman or Andy LaCivita. Also they both have very helpful free YouTube videos on various aspects of employment and you may find something there that will address your discomfort at being new on the job. You can also ask questions to both for free. Wishing you well. Hope this helps.

I would look at the common denominators in your experiences and as you discover the root causes address those.

Hi Christine - I understand where you are coming from when it comes to not finding the right opportunity that meets what you are looking for in a career. My recommendations is to identify what you enjoy doing? What are your strengths, passions and gives you excitement when you do these things. Then identify the areas where you are looking to improve and add a new skillset. Then you may discover you may have outgrown the job level or position function you are apply to.

Or you may be comfortable applying to specific positions but they do not challenge your strengths and bring you joy. I am not 100% sure of your story or background, but these are some evaluations I have had to make to pivot my career search or to discover the direction I need to go in my new career season. Seasons change and so do careers. I hope this helps.

Aww thank you so much this is the words I kinda was looking to hear! And the hard part is that’s it’s so many passion I have but it’s just that one i can’t stay with or try to at least remain in one area of my life. I’m kinda of like a job hopper “but with great intentions…I do enjoy whatever gets the heart pumping!but more so with great energy and kindness.let’s continue this journey or conversation! Very likely!

Figure out your passions. Take some classes. Get a certification. If you have to work a rando job in the meantime it helps to have side personal goals that you keep in mind that you don’t let fall to the side. Not all jobs are worth staying at or trying to work your way up. You may end up regretting it anyway as the years go by.
