Linkedin account blocked

Linkedin account blocked

Helloo, my LinkedIn account has been ‘ temporarily blocked’ for over a year. They’ve said that it’s because I violated guidelines but I did not go on the app for a year after creating it because it made me anxious. I now need it to look for a future role but I can not regain access. Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Can you just create a new profile? Consider entering your name differently; for example, if you were originally Jane Doe, maybe this time you can be Jane C. Doe or J.C. Doe? If that doesn't work, contact someone at their help desk.

I agree with the advice to create a new profile using a different email (either one you have or create one to use with with LI). The name on your profile doesn't matter as there are many people who have the same name (example, there are many John Smiths).

The only downside with this is you will need to remember to check the new email on a regular basis.

I agree with the others. As frustrating as it sounds, your easiest path forward might be to create a new profile with a different email address.

Is it possible someone hacked your account? You can go to the LinkedIn Help page and file an appeal. Explain what happened and ask them for the IP address of the post or posts that got your account blocked. Use this to show that you weren't the one who posted.

Per LinkedIn, don't create a new account. To them, this could look suspicious. Especially if your new account referencing anything close to the blocked one.

Issue resolved ✅ Thank you for all the feedback! Unfortunately creating a new account with the same name can flag the system and have that account blocked (I know I’ve tried). I found that I had to raise a case with my work email to verify that I was real and needed my account back.
