Why do some women act this way???

I am a female in my 30s working in Corporate America. I am a high performer at my job even though this job is well below my skill level and I needed a job at the time since I was being laid off.

I recently took a leave, but prior to my leave the coworker who trained me did not get along. She is messy, nosy and obviously has something against me (mind you I haven't even been there a full 6 months). I had only been back from my leave for 3 days and she makes it a habit to ask where I am at when I go on break. She is not my manager nor supervisor. She likes to try and tell me and my other coworker what to do. She likes to make passive-aggressive comments and is always ear hustling.

What do I do? I just ingnore her but I am really getting tired of her sticking her nose in my business.

Ohhhhh, I dealt with this!! In my situation, the "manager " - lol- COLLEGUE- was young enough to be my daughter. Another time, the woman I worked remotely with k ew nothing except to tell me and our manager was "uneducated".

They are intimidated but your talents.

Rather than try to "use" you to learn something, they cause drama.

I know it's frustrating, but keep your distance. If you must work with her, say your good mornings but work details ONLY in emails It's ridiculous but sometimes these types sabotage....because they can.

Hopefully your true manager is aware of your contributions and will see through all ridiculousness

    You ignore her.
Period. If she has an issue tell her you would be happy to set up a meeting with your manager, you, HR and her. Otherwise just look her dead in the eye and don't say anything.

Do not wrap your identity up in your response to other people that have no barimg in your life.

Why spend the energy???? She has no power in your life, yet you are allowing her to bother you so deeply. That has everything to do with you personally and nothing to do with her.
