I am a Psychologist with over 1 year of experience. I help clients in dealing with issues like anxiety, body image, eating disorders and sexual abuse. Additionally, I help women to explore themselves and also with relationship issues they may be facing. Currently, I am looking to work full time as a Psychologist and also more clients for my private practice.

Any leads would be appreciated.

Could you do tele health? I see a nurse practitioner and it is all via teams. I can sit in my home for the visit. I really like this option.

We need more people like you! Thank you for helping others with doing the hard work. Therapy has changed my life, I encourage anyone whose hesitant to try it out for 3-5 sessions -- find a therapist who you really connect with.

To help you, Jaanvi, what States are you licensed in?

Aren't you limited to states where you have a license?

I recommend Headway to manage billing/insurance. There are other options and maybe depending on your state. I just definitely recommend using some kind of service that manages your billing/insurance and also helps find clients. I see clients as both a therapist and a career coach. There are so many people who need therapy, if you are set up right the clients will come! Please do NOT use betterhelp or talkspace l!

Check out the Mental Health service line with the Dept of VA.

I heard the National Suicide Prevention Line - and other support lines especially for teenns who are for victims of bullying, sexual assault, et al. - have all been inundated post Covid. I don't know where you live; however, the eastern part of Long Island has mental health staff shortage at every hospital and facility. This is a field I often thought I should have pursued, so I like to stay up to date. I hear the new companies offering support via telehealth are doing quite well, and they are looking for people. I believe a MSW is required at minimum.

if you need to get clients, accept insurance. It's a big pet peeve that medical groups are not taking insurance
