What's your go-to professional development platform?

I want to take some classes but I'm overwhelmed by the options. Ideally, I'd like something that has virtual classes with humans teaching it.

My employer doesn't offer budget for professional development so it's all out of pocket and I would like to not drop $10k per year on it.

I'm in marketing now but am interested in data, UX, product management, etc.

Here are some low/no cost options that I have used (and continue to use). I know you didn't specifically ask about low/no cost options so I'm sharing these for others reading this post :)

YouTube is a great way to learn new software and skills. You won't get certification but you'll get skills.

Coursera offers free /low cost options (paid options provide a formal record that you took the class)

My public library offers free access (with a library card) to Udemy and I'm guessing that other library systems also offer this access.

LinkedIn is also an option if you have a paid account. If you have never purchased a paid account on LinkedIn, they offer a 30 or 45 days free and you can bang through a bunch of course in a month.

If anyone is interesting in AI training, deeplearning.ai has really good courses, many of which are free.

Hopefully your local library system offers a connection to Udemy. I live in Denver and the Denver Public Library has a connection to Udemy through "Gale Presents: Udemy" and it's worth a search on your public library site or a quick call to your local library. Librarians are wonderfully helpful :)

I’m in the same situation. I recently discovered that my local library app offers Universal Class courses for free. Most of them are certificate courses, too. I’ve completed 4 so far this year. You may want to see if your local library offers free access to any online courses. Good luck!

For those interested the Development team beat Chesham United 2-1 tonight. First goal was scored by that Luton legend A Trialist and the second a great finish by Brainey. Decent game

For me, professional growth often comes not just from platforms but from working with teams on real projects. Collaboration exposes you to different pipelines, tools, and artistic approaches that no course can fully replicate. In game development, this is especially true when dealing with character creation, since it combines art direction, modeling, and technical setup. That’s why I’ve found 3d games art outsourcing valuable — it gives a chance to see how specialists handle complex tasks and maintain quality across various styles
