Change your mindset. Instead of trying to hide under the radar, think of how you can bring value and make real impact in your role. What are some things that need to be done that nobody has time to do? What could be done to make things more efficient? Or ask for more work.

You improve your process(es), you complete courses and certifications that add to your knowledge and abilities you bring to your job. You offer to support other colleagues, you volunteer on corporate committees, you develop new proposals for internal programs.

You don't have to "make it look like you're busy". There are always things you can do.
