Hello community,

Hello community,

I'm a pre-k teacher and I also have experience with grades 3-8. The school I am currently teaching doesn't use any technology and my Masters' degree is in Educational Technology. I'd love to share my knowledge and work with a company that helps teach children utilizing AI & technology. Does anyone have any suggestions or know companies that need teachers to create content? I'm posting anonymously because I love my job as a teacher but want to share my knowledge creating helpful programs with tech. Thank you for your helpful suggestions!

Wow, a school that does not use technology??

I also have a degree in Ed Tech. I have found work creating content through various sites - LinkedIn, Indeed, Upwork...

The key is using the correct search term - I would use "content creation" or "curriculum development" with a focus on technology training. Also consider non-profits and job training centers who need computer lab help.

I have hired many teachers in the past (I'm retired now), the work is there, you just need to find it. Be prepared with a portfolio of work.

    Good luck!

Have you considered UX (user experience) design? What you are looking for sounds very similar to a combination of technical writing and UX design. I learned about UX design while working on my certificate in professional technical writing at the University of Washington, and technical writing and UX design might be right up your alley. I am a fledgling technical writer hoping to work in biotech, but in my search for a job, I have come across positions where curriculum creation is needed. You might want to consider looking at LinkedIn for "education technical writer" or "curriculum technical writer" and read those job posts. They might give you some inspiration on what to do for your future career. Good luck!

My partner also has a Master's in Educational Technology and works at a consulting company coaching teachers to utilize AI and tech in the classroom. This is more of a coaching service than content creation, but perhaps something to consider as well.
