I don't think that's going to be the windfall you think it is.

If publishing a book is something you want to do, just Google self-publishing platforms. There are a ton of platforms to choose from allowing you to publish under a pen name. It's a way to get your content out there. It's a nice creative outlet.

Absolutely! You can self-publish anonymously using platforms like Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP). Create a pen name to keep your identity private. Use a separate email for correspondence and consider a service like Payoneer for payments to maintain anonymity. Focus on quality content and good cover design—it’ll make a difference. Best of luck with your book!

Self-publishing is easy. Making money from it? Not so much. A lot of that is because it IS so easy. But it's doable if:

    A) You can cultivate a HUGE social media following

B)You are a prolific writer with a HUGE following

    C) You write certain genres (Romance and adult content being two of the biggies) and can do A and B exceptionally well

    D) You are a well-respected expert and/or celebrity writing a non-fiction book on your subject

Otherwise, still write your book, but do it for the sheer love of writing and storytelling and don't worry about the money or fame. I've published a few books (both self and through a publisher). Neither way has made me a millionaire (or even paid the mortgage), but they're good stories and the few who have read them really enjoy them.

Whatever you do, don't skimp on these two ESSENTIAL parts of the book making: editing and cover design. Too many self-published authors do and the result is an amateurish-looking piece of unreadable prose. I do my own covers only because writing is my hobby and graphic design is my livelihood, but if I was really serious about it, even I'd hire someone else to do the cover.

    Good luck!

Thank you so much! I have considered becoming a sub, but the fee for just applying stops me.

To anonymously self-publish a book, use a pen name and avoid linking your personal information to publishing accounts. Choose platforms that respect privacy. For help and tools, check https://book-stand.com/ while you work. Use a new email and payment method to keep your identity separate throughout the publishing and marketing process.
