Picture on Business Outlook email -Yay or Nay?

Picture on Business Outlook email -Yay or Nay? A large client for which I am employed as a subcontractor does not include their pictures on their Outlook emails. The owner of the firm for which I am employed and a few others embed their picture on their Outlook emails.. Owner of the firm has not advised if we should include our picture. I can add my picture to my emails, however, I am following the lead of our large client... I find it distracting to include your picture on every email sent.(and there are multiple emails daily). If they want to see my picture, they can find it on Linked in or on a Zoom/teams call.

What are your thoughts? Thank you!

Are you talking about an email signature or the icon in the email system for you as the sender? I would say to follow your clients' lead; they pay your bills, especially if they have a mandate. Do you have separate email addresses for your firm and client? I know some subcontractors, especially on long-term contracts, are given company email addresses depending on what they do for the company. That makes it easy to keep your agency and client emails separate, and you can do whatever each requires. If not, follow your client's lead.

I am inquiring about the icon in the email system not the email signature. Thanks for clarifying!Yes, I have a company email address for the firm ... its a long term contract. Thank you so much for your input!

If not a head shot - use company logo

I agree that adding a profile picture to every business email is unnecessary if it feels distracting. A clear signature with your name and contact details is usually enough. For professional painting services, you can also visit https://rampagepainters.com/
