Hi -

Hi -

I just got laid off and am in a DV situation at the same time. I am safe now but I need to get income asap. I really need to expedite my job search. Can anyone refer me to a Product or Project Management role in their company? I work all US time zones but am physically located in Los Angeles.

My first suggestion would be to contact the DV hotline in LA. I'm on the East Coast, so I'm not sure what they would call it there or how it might work, because every DV system works independently. See if you can't get a social worker involved who can help you. If you are in a shelter system, it has case managers and social workers available. If you are staying with friends or family, getting in touch with the systems that assist in these situations, even if you choose to stay where you are, can be a big help.

You could also contact the non emergency line for police and fire to get the phone numbers if you are couch surfing.

After calling them - as far as jobs super fast. I would contact a local job placement. At this point realistically you need a job fast and it doesn’t matter what - you can search for better while you are working. And leverage help from any local job placement services - such as local employment services.
