You do realize this is going to be all over the place based on location, size of company, industry, etc.

Hello. I am seeing on average $40/45 - $75k annually. I am also seeing a huge trend (again) on job posts where Bookkeeping/Payroll is a part of the job at that salary-even at $40k. I understand both sides of the coin however, I would never want an overworked Manager doing Payroll - unless it is just being 'submitted' for processing to another company.

Way too vague as all aren't created equal and demographics play a role. Take responses with a grain of salt, IMO

I do that with every post on this site.

    Unfair and uneducated ask.

Are you not aware every state has a different starting wage? You are not going to get a very good answer to this very vague question. You say you manage an office? Small business I’m assuming and you can pretty much see what your minimum wage is and add a couple bucks.Office managers are not paid the best from my experience. If you have a degree in business management I would say a little more.

I’m very aware of that thank you. Yes it’s a Small family run business in central illinois.

I agree with other responder; so many variables to consider.

As everyone said it depends on location and business line. Also not all roles of “office manager” are the same. For comparison - Current salary in my role is approx $125k. Large metro city. 30+ yrs experience and also oversee 2 offices and manage 8 admin. Typical facilities responsibilities such as meetings, food ordering, supplies, new hire welcomes and various special meetings. Also responsible for budget, billing’s (very detailed analysis with partners) and AR. Report directly to regional director and office managing partner.

Again all roles vary from service line to location.

I do realize it’s going to be all over the board on this one on wages. I’m asking what type of benefit packages people are getting basically. I’m majorly under pod for my experience at 16.25 and hr. I work 40 hrs a week and get 2 weeks vacation. One continuous week and one week I can take no more then 3 consecutive days in a row. I feel like I’m getting the short in of the stick because my hourly rate is low and my hour are not flexible at all. My dad owns the business so I don’t want to cause issues but I would like some intel to see what other office administrators are getting as a whole package deal.
