Yes so unfair. Tenure at a company unfortunately means little these days. She had the power and used it. Not your fault. After 8 years your resume is probably very strong. Good luck!

So sorry that happened to you. Depending on what she accused you of, there might be a way to fight it and get reinstated or at least have your record reflect a resignation rather than a firing. If you have evidence/proof that she was lying, you might want to talk to one of those attorneys who offers a free consultation. If by any chance you were in a union, definitely talk to them.

She accused me of bullying and harassment.

If she didn't have strong evidence that you did these things, the union should have protected you.

Find a lawyer who "doesn't get paid until you get paid." Make certain that you will not be billed for ANYTHING unless you win in court, then see what they can do. If your boss has treated you badly based on your disability and is making fun of you comparing you to a TV character, it sounds as if the boss was harassing you and might have crossed the line into breaking the law. It sounds like not being at that workplace is a good thing, but it would be great if you could receive some compensation. Talk to your union steward too; your union is there to protect you from things like that.

And? What did you do in your own defense? Did you write a rebuttal to what was said. Did you speak to a lawyer if they did something illegal? Either way find a path forward where you can move toward a better employer with a manager who will treat you fairly.

it's because she doesn't like me because i have learning disabilities and the workplace is failing

Really? Then it's for the best. .

That is business. They love lies. But don’t you lie. You need your reputation as a truthful person to get and keep a job.

But that's the thing I don't lie and it still goes against you but I am going to appeal. Just waiting to hear.
