You're lucky to have Friday off! Take a self-care day—enjoy a long bath, catch up on your favorite shows, do a face mask, and make yourself a big breakfast. Just focus on feeling good; you deserve it. There's already too much worry in the world, so take this time to recharge and relax.

Yes. I have a few days off coming up and have things I would like to do but the little voice says to just sleep in. I am so tired and overwhelmed. I've given in, in the past, then felt guilty and mad at myself for "wasting" the day.

If the weather permits, can you go to a park or nature preserve area? Sometimes I find spending some time outdoors without any gadgets can act like a reset. I just walk and listen to the sounds around me, breathing deep and just being in that moment. It won't solve any of your or the world's problems but that break from everything might help.

Biggest thing, you are not alone. I know it may not help to know but there are a lot of people who feel the same but there are and you are not alone.

I think some of it is I dislike my job.

Oh, I can believe it. When you feel like everything you do is pretty much meaningless, it is really hard to find enthusiasm or enjoyment in anything. The one day off feels like it's not enough time to get over the disappointment of the current situation and the knowledge of having to go back plays in the back of your head. I wish I had solid advice or answers for you but best I can say is you're not alone in it. Sending hugs and good vibes.

I appreciate the kind response. I am really trying to get out. Luckily I have interviews lined up.

Yes. I have wed, Thursday and Friday off. I know i have a million things to do but no motivation currently. Going to take at least one day to take my kids somewhere. Otherwise, it will be relaxing and cleaning.

I am taking off Thursday through Monday, and thinking of the little things that I need to check on while I'm out. But yes, I understand feeling unmotivated.

My job, and it's a good one all and all, doesn't have a lot of autonomy and I spend most of my time moving emails between people. My director is leaving because of the lack of independence and creativity. My fellow employee is setting himself as the heir and he's not bad just one of those people who always has to show they are better. If the answer is yes, there will be ten sentences. For no, there are 20 sentences. It's hard to be motivated when I see doing this same less fulfilling job for five years or worse getting reorganized out. Argh.

I don' t have the Friday off but I did take the Monday off. In past companies I've worked for, they ended up closing early Friday or at least allowing people to log off a bit earlier if they choose.

I'm off Friday and all of next week - definitely struggling to find motivation!

Extremely unmotivated... I took Monday off as well.... I tend to make myself large to do lists for work and then get disappointed with myself when I only accomplish a few of them throughout the day (I do this to myself...no one mandates my lists).... but some weeks (short/holiday weeks)... I find I make my lists very small so I can still say that I did "something" lol! Just the bare minimum to get the job done :) I hope you have a nice Easter Weekend, or just a nice Spring Weekend if you do not celebrate. :)
