    I wouldn't give a referral because I know more experience is necessary, you need more than a year experience.

    Connect with a technical recruiting firm or a firm who recruits engineers. Many times they may have an entry-level type of role that will help you get in the door at a company. Worth exploring that option (former IT recruiter here).
