I'm in College and I want to know if there is any entry level jobs for accounting and or finance for someone who is still in school, working towards their degree? I looked at bank jobs that I've been applying to and it says you only need a high school diploma but once I get a response back it tells me I'm not a fit for the position or I don't qualified. It confuses me because the description reads high school diploma and cash handling experience required. So, I'm trying to figure out why is that?

Overnight auditor at a hotel. You get great experience in the accounting side but also customer service, leadership, and sales. You’ll have time to study and get a cheap rate to vacation. Great university student job.

I haven't seen any entry level accounting jobs; only ones requiring experience. Your best bet is to find an accounting internship while still in school to gain experience.

I would contact your university's department to see if they participate in internship programs with the business community. Also network with your alumni association to see if there are opportunities they can help you with.

Definitely this. A good internship would get you further along than those that don't do internships. Look out for job fairs at your college/university. Often, you'll find prospective employers there looking to fill intern positions as well as part/full time positions.

Contact your school's career center. They have job postings for companies with entry-level and some part-time (for people still in school) positions. They can also review your resume and give you interview assistance. Good luck in your search.

I appreciate your response, but my school don't provide any good resources and they tell you to apply for a job within the school and never hire.

See if local law firms hire entry level accounting jobs.
