It depends on what the suspension is for - are they firing you or are they doing an investigation? Is it an unfair suspension?

Write / update your resume. Ask people who know you well to be your references - try to find a supervisor (former or current) to be a reference. Look for other jobs.

It depends on the reason for the suspension and the circumstances.
The company may be preparing to fire you permanently.

You will need to provide more information.

It really depends on how many strikes or warnings there have been and if your position is unionized. If it isn't, 'till further notice' could mean your days may be numbered at your current place of employment. I'd quietly start looking for another position just to be safe.

It depends on the company's motives. It sounds like filing for unemployment might uncover those motives because suspended until further notice sounds like you've been terminated. Did you receive a formal suspension in writing?

Ask your direct manager. If you are not getting a paycheck and you need to work to pay your bills you need to know. Find out if the company plans to release you and if so sign up for unemployment and start a job search.

If you believe they might bring you back get a timeline for this or find out what you can do correctively to get un-suspended.
