I'm headed to Palm Springs for the first time the first week of February. I work in the meetings and travel industry and this will be mostly leisure travel with some work added in. Coming from the Midwest this will be some welcome warmth this time of year!

I'm going to Nevis & St Kitts in March. Swimming from Island to Island 2.4 miles. Fun - right?

No way...that's a joke right? You're not seriously swimming over 2 miles??? (forgive me if the humor is going over my head, so hard to hear tones over text!)

ha - no joke. it's a thing i guess! it'll be my first race. my 73 y/o friend does these races frequently. the swim is apparently, what one does in an iron man competition along with a ?? mile bike and a full 26 mile marathon. THAT you will never see a post from me about. anyway - thanks for the post back. are you a swimmer?

I loveeee Denver, just went this summer! If you haven't been I'd recommend Postino. It's a wine bar with great happy hour specials and has amazing food.

I'm going to California next week for work, Colorado next month for family, and Montreal in March for fun. And then I'll need a BREAK.

We will be going to Athens and then visiting some of the islands like Santorini and Paros. It has been on bucket list for a while. I have never flown internationally.

Santorini looks like a dream! For the plane make sure you bring some entertainment and you'll be good to go :)

I'm heading to South Korea in April for a long vacation. Found a great tour company that helped set up the whole itinerary.

I'm currently living in China so I have been doing quite a bit of travel around Asia! I will head to the Philippines in a couple of weeks, and later this year I will go to Vietnam. As far as around China, sometime this year I hope to visit the terracotta warriors in Xian and also head to Chengdu for the panda sanctuary. Travel feeds my mind and soul!

Sam, if you can control when in summer you go to Seattle, go after July 4 as that is when it usually stops raining. The natives say that late July, August and September is actually summer there. (I lived there for six years.)

Ahhh I'm planning on going in June....I might have to see if I can move things around though because I wanted to try and avoid the rain as much as possible. Thanks for the heads up Jill!

As a native that grew up living the "summer starts July 5th" joke, I can say for sure that summer starts earlier now. It hasn't rained on July 4th in years. June is totally a safe time :) That said, I did plan my wedding for late July just to be sure. If you're outdoorsy and renting a car, be sure to check out Mt. Rainier or Mt. Saint Helens. If you're staying in town, rent a kayak and cruise around Lake Washington or Lake Union. I love the Underground Tour (still, I've been doing it since I was a kid on field trips). Take the water taxi to West Seattle and check out Alki (or the ferry to Bainbridge, the view from Elliot Bay is the best of the city). And there's tons of in-town hiking at Discovery Park, Seward Park, or Carkeek Park depending on where you're staying. I love this city and still live here so let me know if you need more tips!
