Over the past couple of years I've struggled with feeling like a nervous about job security.

Over the past couple of years I've struggled with feeling like a nervous about job security. In my last position where I was at for 7 years, I grew my department from the ground up and eventually moved on to middle management positions and eventually to a high level director role at my company. Shortly after that, my COO hired a senior director to manage several other people in middle management positions including myself at the company and eventually my role was completely dissolved and I was laid off alongside other people in middle management positions.
A few months later I secured a new role at another agency and after a year realized it wasn't the right fit for me. So before calling it quits, another role at my company opened up and I asked to move into that position. My company really didn't want to lose me so they agreed to put me in this new position. I was very excited about this position because it is what I went to school for. It is what I have a passion in and I was excited to get back to my roots. Last week my company announced that we would be acquiring another company and that my team is growing by almost 3x. There is another person who has the same role as I do in my department. I can't help but feel a little nervous about my job security now that this has been announced and I'm wondering how me and the other person will work together and if eventually my role will also be dissolved.
I can't help but feel this way just due to my past experiences with my roles at agencies over the past couple of years and I hate that my mind goes there, but I want to remain positive and show my worth as I really do like my position and I'm actually excited that we are growing as a team and bringing on more work and revenue for the company.
I'm nervous to bring any concerns up about this as I don't want to cause any issues. I know I need to not worry about what has happened in the past but I know how acquisitions go and I know eventually sometimes people do get laid off.
Has anyone else gone through something similar and can offer any advice on how to feel comfortable with my job security again? TIA.
