TOP 3 TIPS ON JOB SEARCHING
Resume - Having the right resume is key to even being selected to move forward for a role. Be sure that your resume speaks to the roles that you are applying for and if not consider having more than one version to accommodate different perspectives of your skills or areas of interest.
Quantity - I often hear "I have applied to several roles and have heard nothing back". Once asked how many is several, it meets maybe 10-15 a month. The average ratio within the current market (based on my experience with clientele) is 15/20 to 1. This means that for every 15/20 applications you submit you would receive at least 1 viable opportunity to move forward with. So increase the odds and get your resume out there. Try 10-15 per week.
Networking - The lowest hanging fruit in your job search is all about who you know. Think about your existing connections, which could include family, friends, ex-coworkers and even previous employers.
