I started new job couple weeks ago and today they let go of my supervisor handing me over all her duties telling me I’ll be handling her duties from now on without mentioning any increase of pay, so what should I do in this case? It’s the same kind of work but the load of work now is a double and the owner said that they won’t be bringing an assistant any time soon. Is it early to ask for an increase? Or should I just do it and how to approach it and when

I'll echo was has been said, yes I would schedule a meeting to clarify your new responsibilities, additional training or support you may need, to establish overall expectations given the change to your role and to discuss proper compensation.

I would first get a grip on what the responsibilities have as compared to when you were hired - check for anything you need guidance with / I’d work in that position for at LEAST 90 days to really prove yourself and assure them they made the right decision
