How to stay sane during the waiting game?
Anonymous
How to stay sane during the waiting game? I don't stop job searching until an offer but it's maddening. The other roles don't compare to the interviewed position but I'm forcing myself to keep moving forward.
While I'm able to do so during the day, at night it's another story. I'm even dreaming about being in the role and need to wait a few weeks until hearing back from the powers that be regarding my candidacy. This is the first time a job interview has been all consuming after it was over. I'm assuming it's because I want the role and it has the opportunity to significantly change my life financially and professional.
Does anyone have any advice to stop this behavior or I'm going to be unable to sleep for the next few weeks? What works for you during the waiting gam?
I know this one is going to crush me if I don't get it so remaining hopeful but prepared due to the difficult job market and the role's level.
