I have been unemployed since June 2023. I left a nine-year job to pursue further education in a field I always wanted to explore. I was 62, so it was a "now or never" situation. Although I did well, I decided it was not for me at this point in my life. Some professions really are for the 18-25 year olds (even though I am young at heart). I gave it a try. I unenrolled Jan 2024, joined CareerLink and am now taking some refresher classes for MSO 2021. I earned an Administrative Professional Certificate in MSO 2016 in March of 2018 and have recently been attending some virtual and in-person classes to keep my skills fresh. However, I am starting to feel the absence and enjoyment of waking up and going to work. I have kept busy, but now I notice I am watching way too much TV! Help. I did recently have a one-way recorded interview (a first for me), it was different, but I wish I could have done it better, but it was interesting nonetheless.

Why not get a part time job?

I don't know what your skills are in...but have you considered consulting? Even volunteering in a role that uses your skills will keep you sharp until that next opportunity arrises.
