Follow up from previous post! TL;DR: I've moved on.
Hi all - I posted last year about some serious frustrations with my CEO and her assistant (original post: https://fairygodboss.com/community-discussion/QNJ3AxPib/can-i-how-can-i?utm_source=link&utm_medium=content-share)... just want to say thank you to everyone who offered thoughts - you were right, CEO wasn't changing or getting rid of him. I took another opportunity and have been very happy at my new job the past few weeks.
In my exit interview with the CEO I did opt to be (or try to be) respectful but candid about how difficult it was to work in a place where someone was permitted to make all our lives hard. I did tell her that I hope it works out and she finds a way to prioritize her own well-being over having to do her assistant's job moving forward. (She goes in nearly every weekend to "catch up" on her work.)
Anyway, thanks Fairies, your support and perspective helped get me out of my own head after being run-down by a crummy situation!
