Since your boss is a gossip, I suspect she heard something negative about you.

Since your boss is a gossip, I suspect she heard something negative about you. Is there someone in the office who may be undermining you? Someone who seems like a friend perhaps who is secretly competitive and wants to cause you some difficulty.

I think you are replying to another post, but it appears as an original post on the website. Even so, it contains wisdom. Especially if you are new at a workplace, don't give anyone potential ammunition against you. Be pleasant but don't tell a coworker anything that you wouldn't want posted on a billboard by a busy highway or going viral on the Internet. It's OK to talk about the weather, about the local sports team doing well, about pets, and only positive, non-controversial things about your family-- nothing about divorce, addiction, etc. Don't over share! Sadly some adults still have a middle school mentality and will gladly stab you in the back. Be careful out there!

In recent months, I’ve started exploring ways to make money online and came across http://madcash.pro/ The site covers freelancing, web marketing, and simple earning ideas in a friendly way. For a beginner like me, it’s refreshing to read articles that actually make sense without complicated jargon. Definitely a page to bookmark for learning.

I have a long tenured co-worker who thinks it is ok to undermine people (stir things up). Not limited to just myself. Sometime gets in arguments with others. I try and keep things at a professional topic only level. I do not respond directly to the comments unless I feel it needs clarification or if the boss is present. That seemed to lower the occurrences since it is not fun and the person gets the information / clarification they need. Boss thinks I am a team player since I can work with the person.
