I usually keep words or phrases that inspire me on a board in my cube. I'll share this one: "If you're going to be a dreamer, you better be a doer."

    The Power of Self Talk

The most important conversations you will ever hear are the ones you have internally. What you say to yourself becomes your truth.

Praise yourself often and share your successes with others. Speak about yourself with patience, forgiveness, and love. Humility and pride are not at odds with each other; you can be humble and still be proud of your accomplishments.

What you say to yourself inwardly affects the way you experience life outwardly. Be kind with your words to yourself, because they are incredibly powerful.

There are two sticky notes I always have on my monitor. One says "This isn't about me." - a great reminder that whatever negative circumstance may be occurring, 9 times out of 10, it has nothing to do with you or who you are. Qu9t taking things so personally.

The other is "Not mine" - a great reminder not to take on other people's negative energy, whether it be anger, disappointment, sadness. Their emotions are not yours to feel, and you are not responsible for managing their emotions. This doesn't mean indifference. You can have compassion without taking responsibility for their feelings, and can in fact usually provide better support when you're not triggered.
