This is spam isn’t it?

I received an email today from LinkedIn entitled “You are recommended” It says Passive earning with Reliable company. There are three attachments. I haven’t opened anything and I checked my LinkedIn inbox and there is nothing there.

No such thing as "passive earning with reliable company." Reliable companies do not recruit this way. Put it in your trashcan.

    Scam. Trash.

Remember, never open attachments unless you are expecting something

If EVER you have a question about reliability in the email you’re receiving, click the email to see the direct email extension. NEVER click on attachments, even from someone you know until you clear it with them or it’s something specific you were expecting. The nightmare of these email attacks is that it always seems to come from someone you know or an entity you’re familiar with. When in doubt, only click the email to see the full email extension, then report as scam to your email provider (gmail, Microsoft, Apple all have reporting methods for scam emails - some may request you forward the emails and some use a right click and select option). Regardless, once you report the email, double delete it if your email provider doesn’t already eliminate it upon reporting (such as when you forward it… you’ll need to delete the received email, the deleted email, and the sent email if you get a confirmation of the reported email).

OP: I checked the email address and it was an aphabet soup. I swear I get as much spam and phishing from LinkedIn as I do from Fishbook

    That’s suspicious
