I feel so proud of myself. I've just finished several training courses I'm using to brush up on my Bookkeeping/Accounting skills, and I'm happy I did. The confidence I'm gaining is out of this world. After being laid off for almost 9 months, I feel a lot better and more sure of myself. My next step is to use what I've learned to land a job! I'm just posting this as an encouragement to everyone. No matter how tough things get, we can do something to make our days and lives a little brighter.

I was just laid off 3 weeks ago, my first to experience. I know I don't want to be a server anymore, I have always been very good at it, but my body is tired. So now I am also looking for online classes to better myself and make myself stand out. I'm 52 and it is hard to finally say I want a change. I don't mind hard work, but I also am so tired of working with people that I have to clean up after. Not just the customers

Congratulations! It’s wonderful that you are looking for a new chapter.

Great that you are looking for online classes. You might also want to pursue courses that provide certifications in your area/s of interest.
