How to keep going when I’m mentally checked out?
Hi all, I work a part time job that was always meant to be only for a few months but it’s turned into nearly 8. I’ve been trying to find another job in my field to no avail, regardless of what I’ve done.
The manager is a micromanager to the max. She verbally corrects every single mistake I make, hovers over me, and it’s painfully obvious that she is so pushy with making sales at our facility that it makes potential customers uncomfortable and expects me to be the same, which I’m not and she reminds me of that by telling me I’m costing her sales.
I’m so mentally checked out of this job that I crave to just hand in my two weeks and leave even though I would be broke by the end of the month. I need advice on how to keep going until something else comes along because I’m not sure how much longer I can go at this rate. I’m still exploring other employment options but they are slim pickings where I am. Thanks in advance.
