I have NO network.

I have NO network. I desperately want to find a new job but the networking thing doesn't work for me. Ive been employed for decades but after having special needs children, networking and even friendships took a backseat to therapists, doctors, attorneys, near financial ruin, etc. in a battle/journey to help my children become their best selves. They are both remarkable and doing well and I do not regret one moment of what I needed to do for my kids. But it has left me lonely, friendless, and networkless. I'm also partially disabled and working remote is 100% essential. Currently making approx 100k but every job I see is paying less. I'm already financially depleted due to the aforementioned issues. My company has become completely toxic, management is terrible and the way things are going it won't be long before this company is out of business. It's horribly run and I see the financial side of things is getting more dismal by the month. Sales are way down and our work product as a company has clients running to competitors. On paper, I have no special education, no special skills. I work extremely hard and do anything I'm asked to do or learn. This unfortunately doesn't translate on a resume for a reason to interview or hire me. I cannot take a paycut and feel completely trapped. Also doesn’t help that I'm nearing retirement age. Frustrated and still have no ability or time or money to network with old or make new friends.

I highly doubt you don't have any skills to list on your resume. If you have been working, I'm sure you know how to do some stuff. You just need a little help to figure out how to write a good resume!

RE: Networking. You can start now. Reach out to people in LinkedIn and setup remote coffee chats. Treat it as a task in your long list. Help yourself!!!

    Good luck!

You do have a network. You need to reach out to the therapists, doctors, attorneys and anyone you have been doing any business (school, work or play,) with and ask them if they can provide any insight of potential opportunities. Check out the LinkedIn pages of some of your children's parents to see if they might be in position to give you some pathways. Use your neighbors and community for help. Go to the PTA, town council and Church meetings. You can't look at it as asking for a job, you are looking for opportunities and someone might be able to put you in touch with someone who can help. Yes, this is how I found a job years ago. I managed to find a part time job with someone from the Church I belonged to. I was able to learn new in demand skills that helped me find a permanent FT job. This also worked when I was looking for a job, I went to a town council meeting and met the mayor. He advised me of a job they had open that he though I would be a good fit for, but the post had just closed and they could not accept my resume. He then gave my information to someone else that was able to get my resume to another hiring manager and I got an even better job. Networking is not about who you know, it's about who knows YOU! You need to get out and let people know who you are and you are someone they need to get to know! Church, Schools, Healthcare, Local Government, Beauty/Barber Salon, Coffee Shops are all potential sources for you to build your brand and discover opportunities. Good Luck!!!
