I have lost my job in Oct 2022 due to huge layoff all over globe. Then after I went on maternity break. Now I am not able to get opportunity. I have 7+ years of experience in HR Operations . I have worked with bigger Organisation like Capgemini, Vois, Credit Suisse. Can anyone suggest me why I am not getting opportunity. What need to be done?

It's tough out there. I know many people who have been looking for work more than a year and they are all qualified. I would try to find a temp job to keep the $ coming in.

First of all I see many grammar mistakes in this post. Please have someone that excels in English review your resume carefully. That could be part of it.

In the meantime if you are seeking work at global companies with English as the language, I suggest that you improve these skills.

Best wishes to you on your journey!

Check out the “Returnship” programs. They help people who have been out of work, return to the labor force.

not to jump into the original poster of this thread), I really like the potential of returnship programs. I have applied to many of them, and they still discriminate who they bring on board. If the company is doing a global returnship, the chances of US employees are less. I have had one interview from the 10+ I have applied. The jobs are primarily for technical roles. There are a lot of analyst-type roles for which I am not qualified.

It sounds like you're facing a tough situation, but don't lose hope! Consider updating your resume and LinkedIn profile to highlight your skills and experience, especially any relevant projects during your break. Networking with HR professionals or joining HR-focused communities could open up new opportunities. Stay persistent!

Volunteer with a nonprofit, I'm thinking particularly in the area of volunteer onboarding and vetting since that would use your HR skills. You’ll be networking, filling an employeement gap in your resume, and doing something that feeds the soul while job hunting.

Most job seekers are in this boat - 2024 has been a difficult year with interview processes, when they occur, taking longer than ever. Keep at it. See if you can join a job seeker networking group, put in ChatGPT for job seeker networking groups and your zipcode. Many churches offer them to the public, unrelated to the denomination.
