Is there a time of year companies are doing more hiring than other times in the year? I have been searching and not finding much.

Of course, it's industry dependent. Ramping up for holidays you would find delivery services, retail, manufacturing, etc. Now, depends on what level as it's not always a best practice to bring certain roles due to is it a value added at this time or just a body on payroll with no time to train until after holidays.

There really isn't much to find these days. In the past, I've found the spring and summer between March and October to be the best months to job search. After October things always seem to slow down. Unfortunately, due to the current economic climate, things are very slow this year.

I'm concentrating on a couple of part-time contracts to buy some time.

Recent jobs report demonstrates that hiring is decreasing, and reportedly, has been. This is being reported to have contributed to the plummeting stock market earlier this week. (among other factors). A lot of fears about recession may be driving hiring decreases. So, maybe someone here knows time of year that is typically best for job searching, but this year seems to be an outlier.

For the most part, hiring never slows down for me.
