Hi,

I would like to ask for your advice on how best to include experience gained while handling dual roles. For context, I have 3 years of experience as a Cybersecurity IT GRC Analyst in the banking industry (July 2021 to present). Additionally, from April 2022 to April 2023, I simultaneously work as a SOC Analyst while continuing my GRC responsibilities. Can anyone please advise on the best way to reflect this experience on my resume?

    If it is for the same company but under different titles, list the company twice on the resume with the other titles for each. If it was under the same company and the same title, list it as two different bullet points under the company/title. If it is two different companies, put it in as two companies. Include a skills section, and have the two roles listed there. If the role you are applying for is one or the other, include the role you are applying for in your objective section at the top of the resume. There is nothing wrong with overlapping dates on a resume if you were working at two different places or in two different roles at the same company.

    Just another title in the company that you were performing. You will show that these years overlap on your resume under the same company. You may want to use some verbiage, simple don't complicate it, as Additional Temp role , etc. Somthing like that. Don't overthink it.
