I have had 4 rounds of interview for a finance position , it’s been 3 days since and I have not had heard from the internal recruiter.

She had been very quick with providing feedback and how the team loves me etc… I’ve very enjoyed speaking with the team as well and really want the role. Ive sent thank you notes each time to each interviewers. Some replied , one of my interviewer , an accountant that I’s be working with very closely told me during the interview how much she loves me and will be crossing her fingers that I get picked for the role. I vibed very well with each interviewer. But since my last interview which was a “values” FINAL round last week 4/2 , and went very well btw, I have not heard back from the recruiter. My question is should I follow up with the recruiter or just wait ?

Spring Breaks, holidays out of the business, whomever they need to review may have not been available. Follow up with them.

If this was the final round, they move into a different mode, which includes background, reference, and credit checks. These all take time. As the other person said, give it at least a week, then follow up by renewing your interest in the position and asking what the timeline is for moving forward. It could take a while, depending on the company, budget, number of people who made it to the final round, etc.

Unless there is an offer on the table, background and credit checks do not apply, nor are they legal. Reference checks could be happening assuming the candidate provided them.

I think that depends on state law and whether or not consents were signed.

As long as you sent Thanks Your after you concluded your final interview I think you give the company a couple of weeks to decide and put together your written offer with a start date. Remember the formality of offering someone a job takes time. Although the interviews went well, there is still a process involved with offering and coordinating the onboarding.

I am in the exact same boat as you! I had my final interview on Wednesday and thought I would hear back by Friday with a "yes/no." Then, somehow I convinced myself I would know today which is causing me great stress. My plan is to wait one week from the final interview (for me that is Wednesday) and then said a neutral follow-up to the recruiter. But mostly, I am trying hard today to not want the job as much by applying to other roles and considering that I didn't get it so I won't be disappointed. But let us know when you hear. This waiting game is brutal!

FYI: I am the one that posted this comment and I learned today that they wanted to have a final-final tiebreaker interview for the post and it is down to the three of us. I hope you get an answer soon.

Do you ask what the next step is after each round and get an ETA? That might go a long way in setting realistic goals for yourself.

Hi thanks for your response. The 4th round was the FINAL interview.
