Third party recruiter emailed saying the hiring manager said “itwas great connecting with me and thinks you are fantastic. They are currently assessing their internal resource priorities and will let us know shortly how they want to proceed.” Anyone knows what does that mean?

It’s crazy tho since all my interviews went well and the hiring manager was so impressed.

That usually means they don't know if the role is still open and if they will get paid if you accept an offer down the road.

Recruiters don't always have contracts with employers and only get paid when the employer accepts a candidate and that candidate is hired.

Don't hold your breath for an offer - "they" are looking over their current staff to see if they may find a "star" there waiting to be discovered. OR - call them ask; if they have you under their consideration for an offer. Be strong -

Keep in contact with the recruiter and recruiters they know.

This happened to me twice and they created a position for me each time. It can also mean, our headcount was cancelled. and I’m trying to figure something out.
