What one activity have you stopped doing for your own sanity?
I've recently been reading Do Less (Kate Northrup) and Drop the Ball (Tiffany Dufu) and both advocate for moms to consider dropping or shifting activities that can be eliminated or better accomplished by someone else.
Have you dropped anything since becoming a parent? It takes me back to my days as a young mom in Nebraska. I was passionate about recycling, but, at that time, it took a lot of time and effort as there was no curbside recycling. It was a winter day and my baby was screaming in the car from the frigid air blowing on him. I heaved the bags of paper, glass, aluminum, and plastic into their appropriate dumpsters for the last time and decided enough was enough. I didn't change my beliefs about the environment, but I was exhausted and something had to give. Today, I have curbside recycling - and a kid to take the bin to the curb!
