Weekend kid screen time

It's Sunday and I'm feeling worn down from the week and Saturday, quite frankly, which I find harder than many a weekday of work at the office. I tend to give more screentime than I'd like during the weekends because I just need a freaking break. I limit them to no more than 2 hours for the older kids and my youngest son just discovered Minecraft. He wears me down with his requests to play it...anyone have any tips / tricks for reducing the amount of time they give their kids?

I think you’re on the right track with giving a two hour limit. Maybe trying out other activities that wouldn’t necessarily exhaust you, like playing outside with friends or learning an active hobby might help.

I am in completely the same boat. My kids are both obsessed with minecraft, and it's really addictive. I do NOT have the answers, but here's what we're currently doing and it seems to work ok: 1) no iPads during the week. 2) 1 hr each day on the weekend. BUT - they can earn additional time by doing workbooks or helping out with household projects.
