How are you handling the hair situation in isolation?

Celebrities manage to make everything look glamorous, even missing haircut & color appointments. But how are you handling it?

My bangs have their own agency. My once cropped bob has entirely gone to seed. My styling gel reserve is at an all-time high. Not being seen by the public, it's less of a concern, until my hair starts telling me what to do. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

My next cut and color was scheduled for today. I FINALLY got into a good cadence with it! I'm keeping up with my regular routine of washing in colored conditioner every other shower (which, let's be honest, is less often now) and doing my best to not take a beard trimmer to my overgrown undercut.

I am 60 years old and coming to grips with the changes we go through as we age. I am finding that embracing and loving who I am, grey hairs and all is making me happier than trying to look like someone I’m not anymore.

My husband offered to cut my hair. I'm still thinking about it...

Hello Katie! My husband offered to cut my hair too when we have been in isolation)) But I did not agree. Did you say "yes" to him in the end or were waiting until can visit the hairdresser? I had enough time to look for medium length hairstyles and found nice ideas on https://glaminati.com/medium-length-hairstyles-long-thick-hair/ . I was the happiest girl ever when we could go outside and the first place where I ran - it was a hairdresser! What do you think about changing your style after quarantine?

So finally, finally, FINALLY my decision to go natural has been a great thing! No worries about keeping a relaxer in place! I received a protective style a couple of weeks before stay-at-home measures went into place, and have been very careful with making sure it can last. And because I'm a product junkie, I certainly have enough shampoo/conditioner/oils/butters to last me through an apocalypse. :P

Like Jen I got my hair cut right before the lock down. I color my own hair at home. Fortunately I have enough hair color and developer to last me quite a while as well as highlighting kits. I will be coloring my own hair in 2 weeks. As far as cutting my hair, I will wait until things go back to "normal".

I’ve been gray for over five years so that’s no biggie. As for the rest, I have big hair that, on a good day, is “curly” and on a less than ideal day is a ball of frizz. I am focusing on just taking good care of it, giving it the moisture it needs, and letting it do it’s thing. It’s too short for a bun or ponytail but I can do a half up kind of thing which I do when it just gets too much for me (or when it’s taking up the entire Zoom frame!)!

Jen you are brave. I am using L’Oréal root cover up for my grays and I bought a box of color I am going to use when it gets bad. Even though I don’t want to bc it’s not same as salon and I have highlights. But in tough times comes beauty Workarounds lol
