Ghosting is Real

Ghosting is Real

I am bothering a recruiter who has ghosted me so many times I cannot remember all of them. Maybe one of these times something will work out.

We were supposed to speak tomorrow at 10am, now it is 1030. We shall see!

Good luck to all job seekers!

Are they an agency recruiter? or in house? If they are an agency recruiter contact the head of the agency and let them know how your candidate experience was. If you are dealing with an in house recruiter that works for a specific company do the same with the Head of Recruiting and let them know that you are interested in continuing the conversation but wanted to give them feedback about your experience and you hope that if/when someone cannot keep their time commitment they will at least let you know in advance because your time has a value. Don't be snippy about it especially with an in house team because they may block you from being considered.

There are other recruiters out there. Unless you've signed a contract that this recruiter is representing you exclusively, move on. Find other recruiters to work with, placement agencies, temp agencies, career coaches - whatever suits your needs/budget. It sounds like you're wasting your time on someone that's not interested/invested in helping you.

This is great advice. Sometimes getting what we want means moving outside of our comfort zone. Good luck!

Put your foot down. Continuous ghosting is a sign of disrespect. You don't have to settle for working with a recruiter that is disrespectful or rude. Even in this job market. You deserve better than that!
