Recently I sent my resume in via email per job listing request.

Recently I sent my resume in via email per job listing request. The HR recruiter called me almost immediately but I missed the call. It was a Friday. I called back at the suggested time, and didn't connect. No call on Monday, so I sent an email in the evening expressing my continued interest and availability to connect this week.

Hoping not to sound desperate, and trying to remain at peace with whatever transpires.

I had a company's recruiter leave a message for me about setting up an interview. I called back several times and left messages. Unfortunately, I never heard from them again. I guess the moral of the story is don't ever miss a call. Good luck with that.

I had a person call me years ago and I returned call 15m later to hear "position filled ".

I dodged a bullet. If they are that anxious to fill, I'd be leary.

This is why I recommend using a google voice number so tha you can screen these calls and not be blindsided by a random call when you are not available or simply remove the phone number completely and only offer it up after an email requesting a time for a call. You could send her a calendar invite and in the notes provide some alternative times for her using the ones she gave in the first contact. Good luck.

Yes, it happens quickly. Crossing my fingers that you get a 2nd chance.

Because there are so many people applying for each posting, the recruiter picks the top candidates and then works on those to get them into the queue. They were probably maxed out.

If they want you, you'll hear back!
