It's officially been a year. ( Just reflecting)

I started my role in clinical sourcing a year ago and had no prior experience in sourcing. I met great people, gained new skills and also learned that after being in biotech ( both pharma & med device ) for 6 years that it's no longer my passion. After reflecting I realized there were parts of my current role in sourcing that I loved such as the databases and processes.Although change is scary I'm ready to take the leap.I was hesitant even admitting it's time to go but then I remembered someone said to me years ago " The business will not shut down because you leave "?. Now I'm dusting off my resume and starting my search. The job market is competitive now especially in tech which I have more of an interest but I'll never know what will happen without trying.

Good for you. We all have to follow what excites us and it can be scary. I am taking a career break after 16 years in biotech supply chain. I have been wanting to do something in climate change solutions for a few years now. So I am taking a break to learn, network and figure out next steps. Some days I think it would be easier to slip back into biotech but this is more fun
