I work for an international organization and

I'm being scapegoated and alienated at work for reporting blatant racism, even though I was encouraged to do so and was promised there wouldn't be any retaliation. Now, I'm alone and unsupported at my organization...until I move into another role someplace else. I'm a hard worker and now they're really piling on the work. I'm open to any tips on how to navigate things ...until my departure. Thank you!

I'm not sure what you were expecting after you reported it. If you are in the United States, did you report it to the EEOC or HR? A formal EEOC report will put the company in one position, and HR in another. HR will position management to avoid anything that would lead to a formal EEO report. This is why "piling on work" makes them look like they aren't positioning you to be moved out of the organization, especially if the work is mission-critical. If they are taking a "hands-off" approach at management, it is an attempt to avoid saying anything racist and would complicate the claim you filed. Reporting racism requires a formal investigation, especially if the EEOC is involved, so this is normal until the investigation is complete. If the problems persist or become unbearable, you may want to contact an employment attorney.

Keep your head down and deliver great work until you get transferred.
