Hello all,

Hello all,

I am new to this platform. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is April and I've been in technology since childhood. I have been having a difficult time obtaining employment since 2023 and have applied to over 400 jobs. The irony in this I have worked for jobs as Internships such as NASA, Department of Defense, and other prominent and known organizations/Companies. At first in 2022, companies wanted me. Now in 2023, I have mainly received rejections with the opportunity to interview here and there. I always pass the initial stage, which is the recruiter on the phone but when it comes to the second round, the employer picks another candidate, saying that the other candidates were basically "more aligned/skilled", regardless I have many years of experience in the field and can learn new technology at a fast pace.

I know that the ATI system automatically roots out applicants, in combination now with the new AI that scans resumes and rejects them within 10 seconds.

I am in desperate need of a job, and am almost to the end of my wits. I've been studying DSA to pass the technical interview parts of back-end technology, but even then I find it difficult to complete some problems. I have applied to over 400 jobs. I am mainly looking for remote positions, the the exception of having hybrid within my state.

I am currently studying on LeetCode, which has the best DSA course i've seen compared to other places that place too much emphasis on theory than focusing on problems that would be asked in an actual interview.

Right now is the following of my stack: .NET/C#,Angular,Python,Django,Javascript,React,MySQL,Azure,AWS.

The main stack I am most focused on is C#/.NET technologies.

Is there any suggestions that someone can give to me here?

I sat in on an interesting review of one of our conferences. Consider AI as an Asset not artificial. The reasoning is AI can be wrong. Never let it replace you as a human. If you are new to the working world, or are early talent, take the advice in a previous post to contact your career services center as many assist alums. Also, consider reaching out to IT staffing firms. I was a technical recruiter for many years and recognize a lot of your skills. If you can get a reference to write a referral letter. Email an IT recruiter (do some searches online to see the best ones in your area), then email them and attach the letter of reference. Short and sweet, not long winded, as recruiters spend seconds reading. Depending on the area you live, remote may not be available. Research companies of interest, and also, consider applying to jobs within your city that may have a University or college and see what IT jobs they have. Higher ed may offer a hybrid opportunity. Connect with others on LinkedIn who work for companies you may be interested in working. But whatever you do, do not rely on AI to get you a job. ChatGPT is there, sure, but it's not always accurate advice. I'm sure with more research, digging in to be a detective of sorts to find people to connect to, will change your course. Networking is still THE best way to get a job. Good luck!
