Hello everyone..

Hello everyone. How best to broach the subject with my manager that I need to move my cubicle to another location, opposite my manager and the rest of the team due to a medical condition exasperated by sunlight/UV rays? I will have a note from the doctor. I am the executive assistant for the team. We sit in an office with floor-to-ceiling windows. Pulling down the shades has not been effective. Thank you.

That's a reasonable accomodation. You will to put that request in writing to HR and CC your boss, including the letter from your doctor, but tell him you are doing so first. Use "my medical team/Dr has said I need to x because of x and I'm sending that reasonable accomodation request to HR and cc'ing you today. What.would be next step to get my desk moved?"
